What is consciousness?

Consciousness is nothing and everything. Absolutely.

I’m not trying to be clever here. That is the closest I can get in words.

I use Consciousness with a capital “c” to refer to our Essential Nature. I also use the term Pure Consciousness alluding to the fact that it is un-manifested and potential.

This is the Consciousness that cannot be put in the sentence “I am conscious”.

“I am conscious” begins with the “I Am” and that is the seed of the manifestation, or the universe, as we  know it in the present moment.

For mainstream psychology consciousness is “something I experience”. That is as far as it can go without a Glimpse of Truth.

In reality, all is Consciousness and “I” is an experience.
