—I think Self-realization is the state of space.
Equating self-realization with space and the complete detachment from the manifestation is an illusion of the finest order. Of course detachment and space are pleasant. However, the irreversible death of the sense of separation has no relation with the experience of detachment or space. The degree of detachment from physical manifestation is different for each person and is dependent on soul age. This is a metaphysical consideration, not a spiritual consideration.
Seek a degree of detachment that does not pertain to you and Maya and seeking start again. We use the term Self-realization, because it refers to what you are. Your present experience is an intrinsic and inseparable dimension of what you are, not some other experience.
No matter how beautiful you think your guru is, his or her experience of detachment is not yours. Yet, any guru worth their salt has already told you that they are exactly what you are now. Why do you insist in turning attention to a concept of another state rather than to Presence? The answer is simple: Maya.
