The Present is not a moment between the past and the future.
Time is a concept. There is no past, present or future except as concepts.
Those concepts do play a role in physics and manipulation of experience and in experience itself. But physics is not the study of or the pursuit of Reality. Well, some scientists may well be in pursuit of reality, but they are taking the scenic route because they are trying to grasp Consciousness through conceptualization and measurement and it cannot be done.
Spiritually, time or any other dimension never existed, therefore it is said nothing ever happened in Pure Consciousness. The True Nature of reality is Timelessness.
The word “eternity” is often misused when speaking of spirituality because it usually implies infinite time for “me” to experience. Presence, however, is Timelessness, not a present point in time or infinite points in time. When the realization of Who We Really Are takes place that is “understood” rather clearly and it is not possible to “un-understand” it just like it is not possible to re-instate Santa Claus as the bringer of gift in Christmas.
The corollary of that Understanding is that the suffering based on the necessity of “me” in the future or “me” in the past becomes absent.
